A Shopify store built around same-day flower delivery
A Buderim florist needed an online store that could handle same-day delivery cut-offs, occasion-based shopping and hospital deliveries across the Sunshine Coast, while looking as considered as the arrangements themselves.

The situation
Buderim Floral Art is a florist on King Street in Buderim, with a coffee bar serving locally roasted beans alongside the flowers. Most of their online customers are buying for an occasion, often at short notice, and often for someone in hospital or across the other side of the Sunshine Coast.
That puts specific demands on a store. Delivery rules need to be clear and enforced. Shopping needs to work by occasion as much as by product. And the whole thing has to look as good as the arrangements, on a phone, while someone is deciding in thirty seconds.
What we did
- Built the store on Shopify with a theme customised to the brand’s soft, natural palette and photography
- Set up same-day delivery with clear cut-offs: orders before 2pm on weekdays and 10am on Saturdays, with local delivery from $12 and pickup from the shop
- Structured collections by occasion (Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, birthdays, new baby, sympathy, teacher gifts, Christmas) and by flower type (roses, tulips, lilies), plus indoor plants and add-on gifts
- Made bestsellers the first thing you see, with a dedicated path for funeral and sympathy flowers where customers need it to be simple
- Configured Shopify Payments with Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Union Pay to remove friction at checkout
- Added hospital delivery information and trading hours where customers look for them
The result
A store that handles the hard part of a florist’s online business, delivery logistics, without customers having to think about it. Occasion-first navigation matches how people actually shop for flowers, and a fast, low-friction checkout suits short-notice orders. The store is looked after on a care plan so seasonal collections and theme updates are handled without interrupting trade.
